Management Team

Dr. F. Brian Clare, MD, FACEP, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Brian has practiced medicine in private Emergency Medicine groups for over 22 years. He founded PMA in 2001 to provide business services to his own group and became one of the few certified physician coders in the United States. He started the first scribe program in the region in 1997. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (VACEP), and TowneBank. His interests are physician reimbursement and process improvement.

Samuel G. Jones, MBA, Chief Operations Officer/Chief Financial Officer

Sam joined PMA in September 2008 as its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Jones has 15 years combined experience in investment banking, private equity and entrepreneurial corporate leadership. He has first-hand experience in financing, developing and executing successful growth strategies across a wide variety of industries. Before joining PMA, Sam served as Director of Strategic Development with the GEL Group in Charleston, SC from 2004 until joining PMA. Prior to that, Sam worked as an associate for Dogwood Equity from 2001 to 2004 and as an associate in the Leveraged Finance Group of Wachovia Securities from 1998 to 2001. Sam received an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BS in Commerce from the McIntire School at the University of Virginia.

Robert L. Lynch, President

Prior to joining PMA, Robert was the Managing Director of Hagerty Peterson & Company (HP&Co), a private equity firm where he focused on investments in health care services. Previously, Robert was the President and CEO of CyMed, a HP&Co portfolio company that he grew to the third largest medical transcription and record management company in the country. In 2005, Robert was recognized by Ernst & Young as Virginia’s Entrepreneur of the Year™. In 2006, CyMed was sold to a subsidiary of PLDT (NYSE: PHI). Prior to co-founding CyMed, Robert was a Manager with PriceWaterhouseCoopers’ (“PWC”) management consulting services. Robert received a Bachelors of Engineering from Vanderbilt University (graduating Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honorary Society) and received an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Brian Lamprecht, MIS, Chief Information Officer

Brian joined PMA in October 2008 as its Chief Information Officer. He has 10 years experience in the direct application of information technology solutions to core business strategies in the medical and financial services industries. A Microsoft Certified software developer and database administrator; a Certified HIPAA Professional; and a Certified Security Compliance Specialist, Mr. Lamprecht has a broad range of skills and experience developing secure IT solutions to meet business needs.

Before joining PMA, Brian served as a Senior Consultant with CapTech Ventures where he provided consulting services in enterprise architecture, application development, process development and software development lifecycle to clients like Capital One, Agility Healthcare (now a division of GE Healthcare), LandAmerica, PODS and Dominion Power. Brian has received an MS in Computer Science from the College of William & Mary and a MS in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia.
